ABOUT US
A historic local pub in Stella, built by neighbours, run by neighbours, loved by the community.
A Local Pub With a Long History
Board Inn Blaydon has been part of Stella’s story for well over a century. Known originally as The Board Inn, the pub once hosted gatherings linked to the famous Blaydon Races and has remained a meeting place for generations of locals.
Proudly Run by Members of the Community
Today, the pub is run by two long-standing locals who have lived and worked in the area for over 15 years. With backgrounds in social work and music, they share a passion for bringing neighbours together and keeping the heart of the community thriving.
A Place Built Around Its People
At Board Inn Blaydon, guests aren’t just customers - they’re friends, neighbours and familiar faces who make this pub what it is. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink, a weekend catch-up or one of our weekly events, you’ll always find a warm welcome and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
A New Chapter for a Historic Pub
As we reopen, our aim is simple: to honour the pub’s heritage while creating a space where Stella and Blaydon can continue to meet, unwind and make new memories for many years to come.

Celebrate Together at the Board Inn
If you're planning a birthday, a get-together with friends, or a small celebration, we’re happy to help you make it special. While we’re a cosy neighbourhood pub rather than a formal event venue, we can set aside space for groups and do our best to accommodate your plans.
Whether it’s a relaxed afternoon gathering or a lively night with great drinks and familiar faces, the Board Inn is the perfect place to bring people together.
